Marcelo Guimarães Lima is a painter, printmaker and writer
born
in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1952. His works have been
exhibited in
the US, Europe, Brazil and the UAE and can be
found in private
collections in the US, Brazil, Spain, France,
Switzerland, the UAE,
as well as public collections such as
the Museu de Arte Contemporanea
da USP (São Paulo),
Rutgers Center for Innovative Printmaking
(Rutgers University,
NJ, USA,) Cabinet des Estampes, BNF (Paris).


He has taught drawing, painting, printmaking, history and
theory of art
and the history of photography at the University
of São Paulo (Brazil),
University of Illinois (USA), Art Institute
of Chicago (USA),
Goddard College (USA), University of
Salamanca (Spain),
International University of Andaluzia
(Spain), American University
of Dubai (UAE).
